EBD Therapy
Struttons House provides a therapeutic environment designed for young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties. We view behaviour as a form of communication, shaped by past experiences, unmet needs, or overwhelming emotions. Our approach focuses on understanding those roots and building the skills needed for long-term stability and emotional wellbeing.
The home offers clear routines, predictable structure, and a calm atmosphere where young people can reset and feel secure. Our team is trained in trauma-informed practice and Positive Behavioural Support, which allows them to respond to crisis with patience, clarity, and safe, effective strategies. We prioritise emotional regulation, reflective practice, and the development of healthy coping mechanisms.
Each young person receives an individual therapeutic plan shaped in collaboration with social workers, therapists, and families. We focus on consistency, trust, and relationships that genuinely help young people feel valued. Over time, these foundations support better decision-making, improved emotional awareness, and more positive behaviour.
Through a combination of therapeutic work, stable routines, and supportive daily interactions, Struttons House helps children build resilience, confidence, and a more hopeful sense of what their future can look like.
